The Metropolitan Youth Orchestra presents a number of concerts every year and donates concert proceeds to support various social organizations such as, The Boys’ & Girls Clubs Association of Hong Kong, the China Literacy Foundation for rural children education in China, Po Leung Kuk, Little Life Warrior Society of Lady Pao Children’s Cancer Centre, Prince of Wales Hospital, Department of Paediatrics, The Chinese University of Hong Kong among others. Participating in the “Music Angel Program” under the PMA Music Foundation, members of the MYO will visit homes for elderly, orphanages, hospitals and centres for mentally handicapped regularly in performance to fulfil the mission of “serve the community through music”.
